Who we are

We are a medium-sized law firm which provides legal advice in all the main areas of law.
We specialise in Company, Commercial, Banking, Tax, Social Security and Employment Law, as well as Public, Family and Civil Law.

We are aware of the growing complexity and globalization of the legal matters which arise and that we are increasingly citizens of the world. Therefore we are very keen on liaising with law firms in Europe and in the Portuguese-speaking countries. We have established a connection with a firm of solicitors in England and through this connection we are able to assist UK residents who wish to invest in Portugal, with property purchase. We also advise on the taxation and inheritance consequences of property ownership in Portugal.

Our Mission

At APALawyers we believe our main function is to provide our clients with top quality legal services. The day-to-day interaction with companies and private clients to whom we have been providing our services for several years has enabled us to develop and implement a dynamic and multidisciplinary approach to situations, focusing primarily on the resolution of our client’s problems.

We recognise that in order to provide services of an excellent quality, we need professionals of an excellent quality and therefore we invest substantially in the training of our associates, initiating and sponsoring continuous training and enabling them to attend specialisation courses.

Social Responsibility

APALawyers is a firm which takes social responsibility very seriously and is committed to return to the community and maintain effective relationships within the community. We are particularly focused on projects and partnerships with organisations and individuals who dedicate themselves to developing relevant social work in the community.

We believe it makes sense to get involved in the community by giving a helping hand with the activity we know best – i.e., by providing legal services to those who would normally not be able to afford a private lawyer. This lets us use your expertise as well as showing the human face of our business.

Our lawyers take part in the Government Legal Aid system.

We also choose some charities every year to which we give our support and to which we offer unpaid legal services if needed .

Our Office

Our Offices are located in São João do Estoril, in the Avenida Marginal, (the main coastal road which runs from Lisbon to Cascais),
20 min. from the Airport and the centre of Lisbon.

The building was completely refurbished in 2003 and mixes traditional external architecture with modern functional interiors. We believe our clients regard our offices as a welcoming place of culture combined with the daily routine of a law firm.

The Team

We are a dynamic team with a strong work ethic and hands-on-approach. All have had a first-class education, excellent training, and possess team spirit, initiative, dedication and energy.
